DIY: COLORFUL MIMOSA BAR

DIY mimosa bar
Did you see the colorful Mimosa Bar from our Sip & See last week? I wanted to share more photos from it and share how you can create this for your own bridal shower or wedding today – such a perfect element to incorporate for spring!
One element that we just fell in love with (in fact I still have it hanging up a week after the party!) was the colorful backdop. It is so perfect for spring and easy to recreate. We used plastic bottles since they are very light to hang. We picked bottles with shapes we loved (we used 2 sizes of essentia water bottles and aqua ball bottles). After removing the labels, we taped off different heights on each bottle with blue painters tape. Then we picked 6 (you could do as many or more or less) colors of paint to use. We did some spray and some acrylic paint.

Then we picked up ranunculus in shades of pink, yellow, red and orange to place in each bottle. We love ranunculus and they are easy to find at farmer’s markets, Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods. :)

Now to the actual Mimosa table! To keep it easy, we picked a few juices from Whole Foods to serve, but you could make your own juice also. I designed some fun tags to label the juices and we served them in these pretty bottles we got fromWorld Market.

We also picked up an assortment of fresh berries to add to the juices that we served in pretty vintage cups from Casa de Perrin along with vintage coupes from Casa de Perrin. Simply add your favorite sparkling wine and you are all set to create some yummy juices! I love this idea too since it’s perfect for guests that would like alcohol and guests that would prefer not to have any. :)
